Being Able to show the world who you are.

"Being a Negro in America means trying to smile when you want to cry. It means trying to hold on to physical life amid psychological death. It means the pain of watching your children grow up with clouds of inferiority in their mental skies. It means having their legs off, and then being condemned for being a cripple." Where Do We Go From Here 1967.

I can't imagine how hard it is to wake up that early. It sounds like it's worth it though.

People say that there is a connection between song and poetry but you really made that connection here. I like how you made it like a song because it really showed that you have mastered the ability to not only write a slam poem but to be able to make it a song. Nice job and maybe sometimes you should write a full song?

I like the poem and the theme, though the recording feels a bit like a rough draft not a publishable piece. It is supposed to be a poem, not a rap--and there is a difference. You need to post the lyrics, too.
